The only workable -F races IMHO are SD, IT and CA.

CA is just obvious.

IT is a good one to try. Pop/mineral management is nice and simple. You also get all the usual IT advantages. Since your early wars are dependant upon hitting the enemy quickly - the stargates and early propulsion tech come in handy.

SD because the biggest problem I've had when playing -F is defending my worlds... and SD can do that rather well.

I suppose IS could get away with it too.

In Otaku3 there is a -F JOAT race... he was 2nd in Otaku2 and won otaku1 I think... but he's lagging back in 5th... by a long way in otaku3.

I guess JOAT is a pure economy race really... and -F just doesn't take full advantage of that 20% higher pop (33% if you take ORBM too)
