The Ministry of Trade and the Ministry of Immigrations are ecstatic over recent talks with our nearest neighbors. We have been barraged in the media with glowing tales of our closest neighbors. The entire capital city is just abuzz with rumor and speculation. New worlds to colonize, new technological breakthroughs to streamline industrial production, and new civilizations to trade with. The stock market is climbing through the roof! BUT, there have been rumors leaking out of the Fortress. In the deep dark night, I have heard, "The Hand," mumbled quickly and furtively. None of the Top Fortress officers would even admit to anything having to do with, "The Hand." All I got was shrugs and smiles, with the words, "Never heard of The Hand." I was tempted to think I was being Handed a job; however, the rumor kept surfacing. Then yesterday, I was visited by a member of SPLAT, our military counter intelligence group. Because of that visit and his high handed tactics, I am beginning to believe the rumors of the existence of an evil warmongering race out there in the universe that once seemed so friendly and inviting to be true. I don't sleep well at nights anymore.
