The authors of this board's software are strongly against the deletion of any messages. That is why there is no provision for users to delete their own messages.

Users can edit their own messages for some time after they are posted.

If you feel there is a valid need to delete a message you posted, use the 'Report post to a moderator' link at the bottom of your message and give the reason you feel it should be deleted.

IMO valid reasons for wanting your own message to be deleted would include:

  • Accidental duplicate post.
  • Angry flame or name-calling post that hasn't already been caught by a moderator and is past the timelimit for you to edit yourself.

(There may be other reasons, but I can't think of them at the moment.)
