Bugs do not wonder why Geraldo keeps losing jobs and working for different new agencies. Reports are quite biased, and not true news.
Bug war with Romans had been going on for a LONG time. Bugs had taken all planets worth taking, and held Rome to 5 major planets. At this point Bugs stopped attacking these planets. Rome had been a valiant enemy, and did not deserve to be destroyed.
Now Goth ships are sighted at Roman planets. Romans are mustering forces and attacking. Goths are providing technology to Rome. So basically Goths stuck their appendages where they did not belong, and incited Rome to more war.
If Romans will not stay to their own worlds, Bugs will be forced to destroy them. All because of Goth interference.
Bugs will also note that Knights are doing nothing more than putting minefields around and near their OWN planets. If Fides and Goths would stay away, then Fide and Goth ships would not be destroyed. Note further that Fides and Goths can be seen to be mustering large fleets on the Knights border. The Knights are not the aggressor here.
Bugs will also note that Fides have the largest population base of any race, numbering over 11 million, more than 10% larger than any other race. As most races will have similar production ratios, this clearly puts the Fides into first place. The muscle behind the mouth.
