It was mrvan; I guess I pressed the wrong 'reply' button.

I'd hate to see the day WINE on Linux fails to work with stars reliably, so I'm wondering how Stars! under DOSBox on Linux may fare with his heavy-use case.

I'm still hoping that this project (or similar) gets better with Stars! (my attempt was with the 'starswine' project): http://www.boxedwine.org/
