 Congratulations to dlrichert on a hard-fought victory. The maps tell a story of impeccably executed conquest and consolidation.

I was a -f HE, and my immediate neighbors were the only two other -f in the game.

On the other side of the galaxy, the "slow starting" races were placed.
(The Smile, a 15% 1/2500 WM, was placed between two AR.)

I'm not surprised that a slow race triumphed in such a setup.

The premise of -f is that you sacrifice production per planet in order to get a rapid start.
The -f hopes to use the rapid start to claim more territory before slower-growing neighbors can put up a fight.

Lesson learned: if the game host is going to intentionally position fast-starting races together, there is no reason to play a fast-starting race.

What we need's a few good taters.
