I don't know what remapping tools were used for DD6, but my experience from The Wheel of Live I to V games (and from what I have learned elsewhere) is that remapping tools only change the initial conditions in year 2400, not anything later.

What happened to your fleet does sound, odd, though, I am curious what it could be.

Please remember that DD6 is a no-comms game. Even a small amount of information could be useful to another player, and might as such be judged as communication.

But my telling you about earlier games I have hosted can hardly count as communication in DD6.
