Some of those serials are going to be detected as pirated by the Stars! AutoHost code to help prevent the copy protection problems you can read about on http://www.starsfaq.com/copy_protection.htm

If everyone used a serial from a posted list, there would be more cases of the copy protection system kicking in which can really hurt a game getting off to a good start.

As for getting a unique serial for yourself, you could use the PayPal link on the Stars! AutoHost website, pick any donation amount between $2 and $6 per serial. The minimum of $2 is based on PayPal's minimum service charge. If you truly cannot afford $2, I'll be glad to send you a serial anyway.
