I think this is the way to go. People will have different opinions on whether they want to play with others who know each other in real life. By simply disclosing, it lets them make their decisions based on their own opinion on this matter. I think it is similar to the issue of having the host play in the same game (which I do all the time). Some people have an issue with this, others don't. But by simply letting them know that the host is playing, those that have an issue can choose to not play in that game and those that don't have an issue will join if they want to play in that game.

If I could get my RL friends to play Stars (I have tried a few times with no success), I would want to play in a game with them on autohost and I would declare it in the game thread. Though I would be more tempted to attack them so I could gloat about it later rather than ally with them. Twisted Evil
