Hey all! I used to play stars... well, back in the day! Recently I came across it again, and tried to install it on my brand spankin new computer, and lo and behold, it's not accepting it because of the refusal to run 16-bit software. I'm sure others have had this issue, and I've been trying to find a workaround with the following problems:
First, no old editions of Windows xp, 98, etc, so VirtualPC is pretty ineffective as a solution. I downloaded Dosbox for stars, but can't seem to get that up and running either. For simplicity, assume I have bare minimum of computer knowledge... wrestling with this problem has made me doubt even that! Thanks to any who could help!
