From that comment I infer you'd prefer an email over an update to the AH page. An email would certainly be the desired method of communication of any changes to the game, including the generation schedule.
But extending that suggests hosts should never post any messages on the AH page because someone might never look at it. Even someone who gets their turn via email and has a shortcut to the standard upload page would never see the game page. So should we simply remove that functionality from AH?
I don't think so. As a host, I find it a nice way to remind people of rules, provide incidental updates (reminder: we're going to take a break over the holiday weekend), etc. So I would have some expectation that players would look at the page. In fact, even if I did use AH client, if the game didn't gen right away, I think I'd go to the game page to see what was up.
So if you use AH Client I understand you don't need to go to the game page, but as a player I would recommend that you take a gander at it every now and again.
Cheers,
