If you do want to call me a cheater, I'm FINE with that too, as long as future players realise it was UNINTENTIONAL and I ADMITTED to AND APOLOGISED for.

Things that are NOT common with mac. In detail:
Did mac break rules? Yes.
Intentionally, with a point of breaking rules? Arguable, but done 2 times, perhaps 3.
Can mac be called a cheater? Yes.

Oh best of all, when I started playing the duel, it was clearly stated that standard championship thread rules will apply.
Show me the rule that I broke.
I considered mine-dodge a standard game rule, like chaff and over-gating heal and fleet dodge.
Does that mean using the last 3 in a duel = cheating as well?

Sorry, I think I can't quite pinpoint what you mean by "this" that so exactly proves your point. Confused

this = being called a cheater.

Intent, regret, apology, continued breaking of rules... are all factors that SHOULD be looked at.

Answered what? I'm confused.

As for standard cheat disclaimer = What is standard? For me, having played 3 games till that stage, I had seen all 4 "cheats" being liberally used.
Mac on the other hand has played 2 games back-to-back, both which were glacier games AND those rule breaking were thematically BIG ENOUGH to have gone through to ANYONE'S HEAD as something that is breaking the concept of glacier game rules.

Luring the other player into cheating himself so you both would be on the same level was kind of underhanded too. So you broke the rules, and instead of paying the penalty kept the marbles and still think you're right. Oh, my... Shocked


I'll write a stock reply that I'll paste each time you break my quotes up. Here we go:
1. Mine dodge was a standard game feature in my games.
2. It wasn't mentioned as not allowed in the championship rules.
3. If you say "true cheats" are not allowed till specifically allowed, then chaff/over-gating heal/split-fleet dodge ARE NOT ALLOWED IN DUELS AS WELL.
4. I agreed to letting my IT opponent use it against my SD race.
5. I explained my viewpoint to my oppponent AND HE WAS FINE WITH IT. which shows that he realised it wasn't meant to be a cheat/it was unintended and everything else subtle, which I'm too hot to put into words right now.
6. Just to get you of my back, I agreed it was a unintended cheat caused by a confusion in championship rules.
(In mac's case, he broke the rules that were CLEARLY stated in a number of places and he was aware of the same. I WASN'T).
7. I apologised for the confusion.
8. There were no other mistakes/confusions by me in that game.

I didn't need saving.
I'm very clear on where I stand ethically and I don't go back on my word.
However, to build on your quote, it seems that mac can't be saved.
