I also agree, this is a game played for fun, and some verbal harassment is part of the game.
However, I have as host seen two situations where a player went too far in terms of verbal harassment of another player - It was as far as I know different players involved on the two occasions.
1. A male player sent an in-game message suggesting that all races gangbang a certain race. It was known to the other players that the player of the race he suggested they should gangbang was a female player.
2. A player suddenly received large numbers of e-mails of a racist nature from anonymized sources. He first became aware of the problem when his 9 year old son asked him for the meaning of a term used in one of the e-mails, and i was evident from the content of those e-mails that the sender was aware of that player's personal relations.
In my opinion, while in-game verbal harassment is to some degree OK, there are limits that should be observed, and the two examples I gave above are in my opinion not acceptable.
It should be added, that on both occasions the abused player dropped out of playing Stars! because of the abusive verbal attack.
I wouldn't mind sitting down with a beer with the other participants after the game is over, but that is not likely to happen, considering the distances between where we live. I live in Copenhagen, but I will be visiting Rome August 19-26, will any others of you be in Rome at that time ?
