That's the hardest AI indeed, the only one that'll somehow try to defend itself and also need some serious fleets to be conquered, if only because it tends to grow big empires. Whip

If you can beat 3 of them in a Large Universe (with AI Alliances allowed), then I guess you're ready for multiplayer. Twisted Evil
