I finally found the time to simulate Squidcakes & discovered some weaknesses & problems.

The test was undertaken with an educated but still arbitrary VA force (140 BBs) & makeup. If any of you want the simulation let me know & I'll email it.

PROBLEMS:

1. IMO it would be surprising if the Vorlons did not have some "Radiant Light" Big Mutha BBs and they are the biggest problem. The Radiant Light heads straight for the bombers/freighter chaff & fries it in Battle round 1. The "Barricade" Galleon MLs are also in trouble for that reason.

2. Rather than attacking the warships, the Hyak often move south & threaten the chaff. A similar thing sometimes happens from the west (especially Ipsha).

3. Any & all ships flown by Gaim & Pak are usually lost, including SFX.

SOLUTIONS:

1. The bombers & freighter chaff are transfered to Narn instead of Pak & the WM speed bonus allows them to escape. Barricades are transfered to Drakh &, unless the VA completely overwhelm us, survive.

2. Transfer 3 (only 1 req. but 3 to cover possible gating losses) Zaidzev to each of Pak, Drakh & Narn. These ships are set for "Maximum Damage". This helps to keep VA warships at bay in the north & west.

3. All (or most) Gaim SFX are transfered to Drakh & these usually move south out of danger. The Llort Vladimirs stay with Llort & not transfered to Pak as intended since they are otherwise fried without firing a shot. All RPs (all races) are transfered to Drakh - if crash sweeping is needed then Drakh is well placed to undertake that anyway but some could be transfered to Gaim in 2507 if required.

NOTE: SFXs for Pak & Spoo are transfered in 2507 so that they are available for gating to if reinforcements are to used. Other ships can (& almost certainly will) be transfered out of Narn hands in 2507 or 2508 to a non-CE race (Pak,Gaim?) - of course, slots will be an issue there.

TRANSFER SCHEDULE:

Drakh: 3 (1 existing + self-built RPs & Ampol II?)
Gaim: 0 (at least 2 advisable by next year to take Narn ships)
Llort: 2 (available)
Pak: 0 (1 needed next year for SFX, at least 3 advisable to take Narn ships)
Spoo: 4 (+1 next year for SFXs - scout chaff should all be transfered this year)
Narn: 6 (4 available - deleting 2 slots)

After about 12 hours of thought & simulation I think I've got it right but please remember than a number of assumptions have been necessary so it's only a "best bet".
