allow us to include the Martians in this conversation, in the hope that they receive it as we never got a reply to previous communications through this channel, even though we explicitly asked for confirmation of receipt.

12 years ago you told us that at some point you will ask "What do you want?". At that time, we were not sure of ourselves and of the destiny that we were aiming for. Time has passed, and we have come up with an answer: To be left alone.

The recent unfortunate skirmishes with the Martians showed us the senselessness of fighting it out in the North. We still maintain that the Martians were waiting only for an excuse to start shooting, but as we said publically and in messages to them (to which we never got an answer...) we are interested in talking and having a peaceful, if probably never really comfortable border. If only they had answered to our enquiries about arrangements for settlements more than a decade ago... but we digress:

It is of course no secret that we will remain independent, masters of our own destinies. Our Queen of Swords together with our Queen of Secrets have made a strategic assessment of the situation, and we have concluded that the Vorlon alliance with their so-called lightbringers are a much greater threat than you are at the moment. They have gathered very strong allies to their cause, not only the infamous claim adjuster but also others of skill and strong economy.

So we think it would be beneficial to all of us if we could come to some arrangement with regards to borders and non-aggression in the north, so that you can concentrate on your real enemy while we gather some strength to maybe fight against them as well before the day is out. Needless to say, the arrogant do-goody-two-shoe Vorlons have not made any friends with our people in recent years. We will not repeat their words, but let�s just say that we did not part on good terms...

What do you say? What do YOU want? Can we come to some arrangement? Can the LGM let bygones be bygones?
