Ok, from there you lost me. Read their hab ranges after you set them to friend? Not that I know of. Stars! does show you the center of their hab range after you've scanned their hw, but that doesn't tell you where the end points of the range are. So when you say the hab ranges are you just talking about the midpoints? Stars! tells you the g, C, and mR midpoints for a planet on the right side of the planet pane. For instance, scan the planet of a Humanoid race and you find out that the hab centers are 1.00, 0, and 50. But finding out the whole range for a race, including what the end points are? I think you'd have to ask them to find out those.
