I asked Fyron (the admin at SpaceEmpires.net) and here's what he said:

Its not like we are opposed to sharing the images elsewhere or anything, but it wasn't really the goal of the project and would seem to be technically forbidden (albeit slightly implicitly). I can't speak for all the contributors and grant rights to people to use the images for other games. Nothing stops one from contacting the author(s) of particular image sets and requesting permission to use them elsewhere, though.

So basically if you want to use anything from the multimedia pack, ask whoever contributed it - they shouldn't be hard to contact, seeing as one of the requirements for submission to the pack is that you provide credit information! Smile
