I've changed the original post quite a bit, to clarify some things: Game is now ranked. Also made clarifications on races and # of players, introduced Micha as our third party to send files to, created a player list, and gave information for new players for how to play Stars! multiplayer.

So yes, all races are OK, which is why I'm looking for players with hard heads. Smile

craebild: Yes, the CA's are in. Originally I was going to limit it to two CA's, but I'm hoping that won't be necessary. In the Antiballistics game Altruist allowed all PRT's, and look who joined:

Quote:

m1: Vikings (JOAT), played by Per
m2: Altruists (IT), played by Altruist
m3: Traders Reich (HE), played by ccmaster
m4: Xeelee (HE?), played by Matt/mlaub
m5: Phoenyx (IS), played by Shadow Whist
m6: Fluffy Monsters (WM), played by Evaron
m7: Thomids (WM), played by Eric
m8: Kudzu (HE), played by Charles
m9: Arb (JOAT), played by wchart

Not one CA, though he did ask that experts avoid CA's and JOAT's.

This is not a good game to use as an example. The HE's that ccmaster and Charles played are of the hyper-hyper -f sort. That type of race is actually more deadly than a normal TT CA in this sort of universe (Small). It is probably better than a -f CA, too, for a while. Although, if the -f CA player is a good player, the edge will go to the CA very quickly.

One player in AB was a bit peaved that -f HE races were used at all, given the text of the rules, and would have liked to go back to the start and use his favorite -f CA.

I played my favorite old school 4% HE on a lark. I too would have played a different race, or never joined the game, if I had known that -f HE's would be played. Especially if I'd have known both were going to abandon the game so early, which effectively made it impossible for my 4% to compete.

In a packed medium, I'll pick the CA as the winner every time. Probably won't need an ally, either. You should think hard about allowing CA's without handicaps.
