I've changed the original post quite a bit, to clarify some things: Game is now ranked. Also made clarifications on races and # of players, introduced Micha as our third party to send files to, created a player list, and gave information for new players for how to play Stars! multiplayer.

So yes, all races are OK, which is why I'm looking for players with hard heads. Smile

craebild: Yes, the CA's are in. Originally I was going to limit it to two CA's, but I'm hoping that won't be necessary. In the Antiballistics game Altruist allowed all PRT's, and look who joined:

Quote:

m1: Vikings (JOAT), played by Per
m2: Altruists (IT), played by Altruist
m3: Traders Reich (HE), played by ccmaster
m4: Xeelee (HE?), played by Matt/mlaub
m5: Phoenyx (IS), played by Shadow Whist
m6: Fluffy Monsters (WM), played by Evaron
m7: Thomids (WM), played by Eric
m8: Kudzu (HE), played by Charles
m9: Arb (JOAT), played by wchart

Not one CA, though he did ask that experts avoid CA's and JOAT's.

Regarding AI's, I plan on having 6 if there are 4-6 humans, 4 if there are 7-10, and 2 if there are 11-12. Expert AI's do start with more strength than humans, but statistically I doubt we'll see more than 2 of those at the most. We can kind of look at them as a little bit of resistance to contend with before dealing with the real threats. As you said they can't be influenced through diplomacy, so we can just consider them to be players taking the "War Monger" approach. They're not usually much trouble from what I've seen, but I would bet they'd make a good excuse for early alliances. However, if enough people decide that they don't want to see AI's, I could take them out.

Glad to hear that you're fellow hardhead. Smile

The Xtreme Borders movie sounds like a good idea. A while ago I got Stars! Notebook and used it in conjunction with .pla files and .map files, going to "Reports" and "Dump Text to File." Is this what you're talking about?

Marduk and Steve: Are either of you interested in joining this game? I'm still looking for more players--right now we're up to three Very Happy but I think we'll probably get a lot more before it starts.
