Tinderbox is a fairly standard SFX
EP engine because that was the warp 10 engine I had at the time I designed it, and a cheap shield just to make killing it take a tiny bit more effort.

I mostly didn't use them for fuel, but for repairs. Since my offensives were never far from a base, I never had fuel issues.
