I still remember how frustrated I've been when trying to achieve that 25k goal with demo version of Stars!. There you couldn't design your own races, so I've been using "default" Humanoids and constantly getting 6.5k (+-10%) res at 2450. When I got the real Stars! I just checked the AccBBS on the Advanced game screen, and hit about 20k res with the same race!

Just that little check advances your race 7-8 turns further in time, but for Humanoids with only 15% PGR that means 10 turns. So don't forget to check it when doing your next testbed.
