In this period of peace, better Gate infrastructure would improve trade.
In a statement issued from the Centari Embassy yesterday Ambassador Jodo Glidari said�
�In recent years a period of peaceful growth has settled over the Galaxy with only a few trouble spots giving cause for concern. Although the Embassy can not take all the credit for this we are pleased to think that we have helped.
This period of peace has opened up the possibility of profitable trade between Empires; the main barrier to trade now seems to be distance as when some goods have arrived the receiving civilisation has progressed to the point where those goods are no longer valuable.
We therefore propose to set up a network of gates to facilitate trade and call on like minded Empires to become involved. To start this process we will begin building a Gate and release the location to all Empires when it is complete�.
