if bomber race must be set to friend, does minefields hurt it at all? (besides SD manual detonation)
I really don't know.

Also, how about having IT bomber race, and maintain some planets
with gates (say, to cover all the universe with 2-year jump from nearest gate...)
or can it be... say... SS, cloaked bombers which are so many, filled the universe.. controlling one footbal fleet allows to use one of them at time. nearest fleet always used, then returns to original position. Each strike uses two years (even if it can reach in one, just set warp speed accordingly)

how about this idea?

And finally. Bomber owner can be SD, so it can walk through minefields at w6 even if it isn't set friend.
Also how about allowing north-south minefield immunity cheat for overseers?
