ZZZy, now as everyone is trying to remember, I will do so too.

MT-Parts are unlike other technology. For other technologies only the number of fleets are interesting as it didn�t matter if there is one part or hundreds of them in a fleet.

With MT-Parts the chance to receive a plan is 0.5 Percent per Part with a maximum of 12.5 Percent per fleet. So scrapping the ships a MT gives you is basically a good idea. (Unless you have spots left and got some very special job that could be only done by those ships.)
But if you scrap, I would advice to scrap one ship per year.
