Well someone had to stop you from steam rolling the universe up, and just in time by the looks of it. As for ruling this tiny piece of real estate well, its only a matter of time.
However, I am in agreement with you regarding the holiday and New year. I would suggest a relaxing of the schedule to 3 turns max per week when the game resumes in the new year if possible.
