After 1,5 years of playing the game "get the planet", I just lost the biggest battle I have ever been involved in (and effectively the game), due to some (at least for me) unknown quirk in the battle engine. Congrats to the newbies btw for killing all my 3141 beamer nubians and effectively winning the game I guess. To have the best chance of winning, I had most of my armageddon nubian missile arm split up to deal a lot of 1/512 damage to his main stack of 5182 beamer nubians. Things looked good until round 2, his nubian stack at 22% damage, where it remained for the rest of the total 16 turns, due to the fact that my missile ships refused to fire any more rounds at his nubians, even if other ships were not in range. Even when, at the end of battle, only my missile ships and his single nubian token were left at the board. Not a single missile was launched at his main token after round 2. I am a bit perplexed, as I had not heard of this bug before. Does someone have a link to a thread somewhere that explains what can cause this bug? Btw, my orders had maximize damage ratio and armed/any. My side had 61 tokens with 9381 ships, his side had 15 tokens in 19368 ships, dampener was present. Only 2 races in battle.
