Game parameters may be changed according to majority vote according to poll located in the Home World Forum: Stars! 2.6/7 » The Academy » Stars! RPG: Genesis Wars
Please rellay any questions to the Message board to help answer any questions right away and so that the answers can be viewed by all players and future gamers. Requests will be taken up till New Years Day. Both Players and Hosts may wish to apply.
Currently I have the following Players Reserved for the first game:
01-Coyote,(will be using Juno address)
02-Jeffmix,(will be using Hotmail address)
03-Freakyboy,(don't have e-mail yet)
04-Tech25,(don't have e-mail yet)
05-Edog,(will be using prodigy address)
06-Gible,(don't have e-mail yet)
Although Slow Tech I would like to see econs other than HP in this game, and strongly encourage the use of -f, HG, HY, and AR race designs. Those who have such econs will have the option of modifying their PRT in future games, while HP's only have the option of having an "underling" race. This will be covered and discussed when the first game is under way.
If interested PM me with Your E-mail address. Race files will be taken After enough players have been found for the first game. If more than 16 players apply their may be room for a second game.
Again if you have any questions PM me or Post on the Message Board. Game will be on Autohost if there is enough room and if it is permited by Ron Himself. Again the Game is up for grabs up until the 1st of 2003.
Thanks all and best wishes,
Stalwart

Greetings Friend,
As far as skill level it is all skill levels, purely for fun! As far as slow tech goes just check the Academy for the Genesis Wars topic and goto page 2, vote for what game format you would like to play in. At the moment Slow tech is the most popular... though it may change over time.
fell free to post any comments there as well if you like, I hope you enjoy the game!
Stalwart
P.S. If you are interested could you please PM me with your e-mail in the message. Thanks in advance.

Game is slower to start... I guess that since the -F races et c. have less overall prduction the doubled cost hurts them more, because it increases the gap. Just my guess.

Greetings All,
Mangar: The reason for the poll was to help me get a general idea of what people wanted. Go ahead and vote... though to promote the use of AR (which from what I hear you enjoy) the 33 with normal tech (Medium Packed with 16 players) would be ideal for just about everybody.
Gible: -f Races (Like AR) are designed to get right out of the bat and get a good starting advantage compared to your neighbors. Races with the "Start at 3" will have a stronger advantage, not to mention that by the time the -f gets rolling the HP's factories have caught up and are already moving at a pace faster than a -f would achive. Not to mention that a -f would require twice what they normaly would need to get to the benchmarks that they had with normal tech. Though still usible if played correctly, one would have to be exceptionally skillfull for it to work...
Hope this helps,
Stalwart

Apologies to everyone involved but i think i'm gonna have to pull out of this game. I just took on a new job thats eating my time left right and centre and I'd rather not get involved than join the game, RP and then quit and screw it all up for everyone else.
Sorry.

Greetings All,
The Stars! Game Genesis Wars One is still up for grabs. Anybody interested PLEASE EMAIL ME at LostShakir@nospam.yahoo.com (take out the "nospam." part of course) with your Race file, the Race description AND the PASSWORD please. I would like to get this up and running ASAP so that all I have to wait for is the slot to open up on Stars! Autohost. Until then, if I have enough players (about 12) I will go ahead and just host from my comp on a mixed schedule.
Let me know what you think, Stalwart
