They ain't gonna build warships, eh? I just lost two freighters and a whole schwack-o-people to a pair of light phaser armed frigates, and there are at least 6 Riot Grlz destroyers zipping in to defend the colony of mine he just took (and reinforced to heavily for me to retake). I'll be very surprised not to lose at least 2 freighters and a colony ship next turn.
I'm going to build more destroyers, but at this point I'm out gunned, out tech'd, out resourced, out mineral'd, surrounded, unable to colonize enough worlds, and soon I won't even be able to distribute my people to leverage my growth rate. That IT is in a good position to gate in warships from all of his allies (if they even need to build them).
I dunno about the rest of you but I'm screwed. I've played enough games in this kind of a position to know that even if they leave my race alive I'm going to be so far behind as to be irrelevent. I've already learned this experience, thanks.

Ok they are going to build warships - but I still bet they arnt going to attack your homeworld just yet a single frigate does not an invasion force make (but you are right they are closing in on you).
Get to prop 5 const 5 Asap and put up a gate on your homeworld - I will start sending forces to it as soon as the gate is open.
Also if you have Const 4 build some long range colony orgies
a FT 2 Privateers (400t cap) and 5 or 6 Santa marias can head off into our 1/2 of the universe and settle worlds on the way.
That way you should get several strong colonies deep in our space which you can build up slowly - making you still a force.
