Who among you has ever done this:

1) It's late. You are sleepy. You go to bed.
2) You lay in bed, eyes closed, drifting off to sleep.
3) Your mind wanders to your current Stars! game, the one with the turn deadline in a few hours.
4) You think of something really important you need to do / forgot to do / is just a really good idea.
5) You get up out of bed and hurry to your computer to change your turn.

So many times ...

But I'm learning. Almost happened a few nights ago and I forced myself to let it ride and dream happy thoughts of victorious battles won with coruscating (good old doc smith) beams of disruptor fire.

Heh, count me in.

Though it has a lot to do with how involved you are in the game Smile
In my case, talking to allies/players from the game (discussing things or simple sounding boards) pushes my game level up...

I know my minefields.. but I'm a chaff sweeper.
I used to curse when I got stuck in traffic... till I realised I AM traffic.

Hi!

In games where players often skipped turns, I had a habit to prepare new set of orders in case the opposite player wouldn't submit. I'd submit them one minute to game gen time, it that was feasible. Nothing risky tho, in case he'd submit one minute to gen time too. Wink

Possible when gen time was GMT midnight or something close, since I rarely go to bed the day I stand up. Wink

BR, Iztok
