Anyone have some decent benchmarks for these games resource wise. Tech isnt the best benchmark for the game since its slow tech and BET requirements.

I was thinking of the same thing..
I'll be running some testbeds in the coming 3 days, to check resources at 2420, 2430 and then a 20 year jump to 2450.
Going to check the following race builds
1. -f 19% GR, 1/4 hab
2. normal f race 10/9/12 (1/5 hab?)
3. f race, 2500/colo, 12/8/16, (1/5 hab ??)
Would like to know if anyone else would share their information too .
Regards,
Nmid.

Hi!
Generaly speaking the non-AccBBS adds some 7 turns to the AccBBS start, but it quite depends on the race. A -f with high growth compounds differently than low-growth HP.
Despite you claim tech isn't the best benchmark, I have to warn you that it is a very important one. Without proper tech you can't expand, can't defend, can't win. You need to design your race to get that tech at the time it will need it.
So if your 20% PGR -f race starts crowding at 2411, you need to get techs for moving pop one turn earlier, or the 20% PGR is wasted, and you better consider less than 20% PGR and put the remaining RW points elsewhere.
The question is what are proper tech. IMX the very early game techs are:
- FM and PVT or MF for moving pop early,
- DD with xLasers and man-jets for intercepting scouts,
- range-100+ scanner to see what's going on around you.
Then all gets just more complicated. What I found working best for me in slow-tech games was a fairly quick race with a good long term capacity and something to trade to other races to keep them happy. YMMW though.
BR, Iztok
