I just read that it is randoom choosen wich Player gets the Planet.

I guess I learned incorrect or I just forgot. Ill try to find a legit article to brush up on some Stars facts.

Edit: it says in the must know section in order of events that it is random player. I couldn't find any other articles.

I am trying to find actual articles on what player numbers do effect and Ill get back here.

The only interesting part of this is what happens if two
or more players try to grab the same stuff. For example if two
players are both at the location of some salvage and each one
tries to transfer all of the minerals to their freighter by
hand. When each player was taking their turn we could not know
what the other players were going to be doing so we had to
pretend the by-hand transfer was going to succeed. During turn
gen we flip a coin when multiple players are going for the same
thing. This is why sometimes things that you were SURE you did
by hand turn out to have been day dreams by the next year.

Its in the explanation of the "Order of Events"

I do remember by hearth reading about the fact that a SS player with a steal scanner can manage to steal minerals from a planet before the same player lift it up with his own freighter fleet. That particular example was random too.

If you mean when both Colonizers carry the same pop, it's also possible that the planet remains empty. That message about both races fighting on the ground might be more than just a fancy tale. Deal

It's an old question too. Sherlock

10% chance for each ship (so if you warp 1000 chaff about 900 will arrive)

Don't trust on this Laughing

I lost 4 ships out of 14. That's around 28,5%! Mad

That's statistics for you.

With 14 ships and a 10% chance of loosing each, there is a 22.9% chance that all 14 will survive - And a 1 in 100,000,000,000,000 chance that all 14 will be lost. Anything in between can also happen, of course.

I have to agree with craebild. Percentage is after all only an average of what is most likely to happen.

Another point of interest is the fact that computers can't generate randomness well. You will always end up noticing trends (which cannot really be predicted, but you can still see the trends). One year you send 20+ ships warp 9 in mine fields and you hit nada, the year after that you send only 4 ships and 3 of them hit...

So is the nature of randomness.

That's what I wanted to point out as I wrote, you can't TRUST on the calculation, that 10% of your ships will arrive. Like Murphy you can be very unlucky in a moment that would be worse for you. It's like playing roulette in a Casino Cool.

If somebody really needs to arrive on battlefield with all ships, he should avoid to go by warp10, if he not has warp10-engines.

There's about a 4% chance that you'll lose 4 or more ships out of 14. Sad, but it happens sometimes. Confused
