Needs to be:
- At least medium size
- normal density
- Player start position(HW) at least 1000 from right side of map (= left side of medium)
- Explored to ~500-700ly to the right with at least two opponents ships and planets encountered nearby
- At least one wormhole discovered nearby
- At least one minefield laid or discovered nearby, preferably both & multiple types
- MT nearby
where nearby means within 200ly above or below the HW and within 200ly left and 1000ly right. In other words inside a box 1200ly wide and 400ly high with the HW in the middle of the left end.
If you can supply the hst and other players files too that'd be good but not vital.

Hi!
If I may suggest, I'd cut off at least a half of the right side of the picture. That side is full of stars , but nothing else.
When some would-be player will be looking at current picture, and interpolating the height from the width, and then intepolating the number of all stars in the universe, he will likely run away scared. At least I would, because it's TOO full of stars.

Well yes, it wasn't designed for that. Most of the stars to the right were cut and pasted in chunks from other parts of the (medium) universe, and the part where the action is has more stars than it should because I added stuff to make it more interesting - the "enemy" planets were actually on the far side of the map and the "friend" planets are really a group just north of there colonized after a quick treaty. Only one player actually laid any mines and the speed bump mines are from a completely different game. Interestingly I discovered it was very easy to get minefields of varying sizes because the graphic is the same unscaled pattern for all map scales and players. Ditto for ships and planets, the templates are a very small set that you can just recolour and place.
The screwy left density and player distances aside, it shouldn't be too bad for interpolating star densities/universe sizes tho as it matches a slice of a huge/ normal/ clumped. Mostly its designed to allow for a variety of screen/window sizes on the Main Page and 90% of people won't be seeing more than ~800ly of the map and even then 200ly will be cover with the links on the right.
