OMG!
I haven't visited this forum for 18 months so had np idea this had occured.
I notice that Micha has not posted anything since January but I hope he still looks in & will return soon.
I played my first game about 11 years ago &, in my first game, I inadvertantly cheated - it was the cheap starbase bug. I had no idea of Stars! protocols etc. & had never played any online game aqainst people. I just thought I had stumbled across a neat trick & that others who knew it would also be using it. I had not discovered Autohost at that time so I knew nothing of the community. One of the other players contacted the host & accused me of cheating. Even though I had not intended to cheat I had & it was very embarrasing, especially since I have a very strong morality in regard to honesty.
I almost never played again. In fact, I only returned to test my IQ/intellect/logic after I suffered a serious of heart attacks & a stroke that destroyed part of my brain.
Micha is the best administrator of any site that I have encountered. Maybe he cheated before, maybe not but I have spent enough time (& received enough help) to be convinced that he would never do it again.
I temporarily live in the Philippines & have had a new gf/fiance for 10 months now so I am not in a position to play Stars right now. When I return to Australia late this year I would love to play a game of Stars against Micha!!
