Team 3 has now submitted their race files to XyliGUN, that only leaves team 2.

Hopefully they will submit their race files soon so the game can be started.

OK, almost all the races are there and I pretty sure I'll have all of them tomorrow.

So, here is a promised announce. I've send some of you a couple of comments on your races, but you can ignore them if you like. If somebody have any questions, you are welcome to ask. Deadline for the last minute changes is 48 hrs from now.

Status update. All race files are here, they all are passworded and verified. Today I was trying to create a game, but so far I'm not happy with what I've got, so I'll have more attempts tomorrow, and hopefully I'll have some nice start positions for you. Cool

OK, please check your mailboxes. Your turn files were send a couple of minutes ago. You should receive them shortly. Please verify that everything works as expected (you should be able to open your turn file using your race password), let me know if you have any problems.

Good luck to all of you! Cool

Here is some common info on the galaxy:

  • Each galaxy arms contains exactly 36 planets
  • Distance from the map center to the each HWs is about 1/3 from the arm length
  • Second worlds (if any) is about 2/3 the arm length from the map center
  • Fleets current location fixed, so you should have exact fuel/etc. calculations from the first turn
  • Events fixed, so you will have correct events positioning

Two teams in, two to go.

Curiously, the two teams who have submitted are the two teams with the greatest time zone difference between the two players.

Shouldn't take that long before all turns are in, as it doesn't take that long to set the orders for 2400. The most time consuming part of that is the few details that require coordination between the two partners, and having your partner check that everything is OK.

Corrections needed ?

I thought the rules about orders for the 50 year jump start were pretty straightforward - Or are those corrections just a question of them having set up some rather stupid orders ?

XyliGUN, you don't have to answer, especially not if that would reveal something about their races.

Well, there is no secret I guess:
* ships added into production queue
* somebody not set as friends

Probably I could correct them myself (remove ships from the queue, set everybody as a friends), or could just wait for updated turn...

Well, both of those things are against the rules for the 50 year jump start, so that won't go.

You should probably wait for them to submit new turns, they might want to make other changes when they are reminded of the rules.

I can't know what he rest of their orders are, of course, but they might want to take advantage of the fact that their ships cannot be attacked during the 50 year jump start, and they might want to spend their resources on something useful during the 50 year jump start.

Hopefully they will submit their corrected turns soon, so we can get on with the game.
