In my opinion, this should have the same 5 year ban as using the orbital adjusters to improve a planet. De-terraforming an enemy planet is a very powerful tool, it will allow you to use smart bombs and take the planet with factories intact. I would think this would be worth a 1 year ban to a CA race rather than bombing out all the installations to a planet to get rid of the pop. Especially in this game where there is likely to be a lot of factories built. A 5 year ban would be enough of a deterrent, I don't think the threat of a 1 year ban would be enough to stop this from happening in the game.

orbital adjuster is illegal so it `ll be, in most cases, deleted by host before it is used. I want just to give higher penalty for improving planets.

i havent played Stars! for few years so need also info which version i should use ( and where i may find downloadable files) to GlacierIV.

Who checks for rule violations? Does the host, or is it up to the players to report ones they see?

It's generally not allowed unless the game is specifically set up for it - and with a single victory, a a prebuilt team is kinda pointless anyhow, and trying this will just set you up to get backstabbed horrifically (but hilariously).

You are assuming that these arrangements are built on trust rather then a convergence of common interest. For example, some of the less experienced players may want to form a mutual defense pact to stay alive longer if nothing else. If one is not near #1 spot then you may never want to backstab anyone.

It`s not team game. I think it`s obvious that pre-game alliances are not allowed. Adjusting your races to each other would give you huge advantage over rest off us.

IF some new player needs help, you should help him. Give some advices, explain how economy, techs etc. works. But do not tell him if he should take grav. left or rather right.
You can ask some third person to check his final race project (may be our host?).

After the game starts all diplomatic tools are in our hands. If you want form an alliance it`s ok. You can do it.

i'll sometimes randomly take a look into your files. but generally it's up to you to report violations of game rules to me. players are always better aware whats going on in the game than host.

For those new to Glacier games, I suggest having a look at the winner (Dogthinker) of Glacier III's story. It is very informative.

Dogthinker's SS race design disclosed. It is a solid HP where max resources is king on 2560.

My race has already been submitted. Unlike Glacier III, I am going to be a real Warmonger this time Smile

I know that you need some time to make some tests and check some strategies. It will take at least one week (rather more) until all players are ready with they races.
Than Host`ll create universe, he will send files to Ron ....
So, it will take some time.
