 Hi guys

Sorry but I won't be able to take part in this game. I think I've just graduated from newbie status so it would be a little unfair.

A mate of mine is keen (he has only played one game against humans) I told him he needs to get a race in asap otherwise he will have to wait for the next game.

Apologies for not getting back to you all sooner.

 You can always give yourself challenge by spending some RW points on defences. Playing handicapped race is yet another chunk of experience. Smile

 Hi All,

We are near ready for a start. Still waiting on Mindworm’s race file.

Pydna has dropped out. However Pydna you are welcome to join, but perhaps self govern yourself to a more difficult race and race parameters?

In summary, it looks like we might have a nice small game maturing here, just as Mindworm first desired. After consideration I will have random events turned on for this game. Everyone seems to want this feature.

The Players:
Mindworm - Waiting for race file
Flamencowizards - Race file in
Squeak - Race file in
Karl - Race file in

Once I hear from Mindworm, I will contact you all and then submit files to Ron for game creation. Not far from start now.

Pydna, if your friend is interested, please have them contact me on squeaksdaman AT gmail DOT com

We can delay start for a short while to wait for another keen player.

 In honor of Mindworm and his initial post which started the formation of this game.... As host I hereby name this game "Neurocysticercosis" or NeuroCyst for short.

"New Game" didn't really cut it as a descriptor.

Neurocysticercosis is a kind of worm which can infect the brain. Pretty rare apparently though.

NeuroCyst is going to occupy our lives for the next several months. So be sure to get plenty of sleep, eat well and exercise.

I almost have all race files now. I will email each of you once I have submitted the race files to Ron for game creation. Not long now.

We are almost there, Pydna's friend has joined us and I have received his race file. This means we have all race files in except Mindworms. I'd like him to resubmit his as it was not password protected.

I will continue trying to get in touch with Mindworm till this weekend.

 Shame I missed this short game for beginners, as I too have not played much against real people. I wouldn't consider myself a 'newb', but will no doubt make many newb mistakes, but feel I have some new tricks to offer ( Wink pretty good at interesting race design and tacs). I've misplaced my copy of Stars! for the moment, but am trying to relocate it and hope to sign up for some games soon Very Happy Let us all know how this game goes/is going..

Just an update. I have not yet heard back from Ron at Autohost. I’m not sure how long the wait normally is after submitting the race file. I have contacted a old host (paul_ik) who has been through this process for his advice and on how long we should expect the game to begin. He said Ron got back to him the very next day, so I’m not sure whats going on. I’m going to send him another email.

should have some feedback shortly.

Hang in there, I’m keen to get started to.

Hi All,

I have now submitted our NeuroCyst game to Autohost. Our game should be generated and ready for us to make our first turns in the next few days or as soon as Ron can do it.

MindWorm will not be joining us as he was unable to get his revised password protected race file in. This was holding us up and I could not get hold of him.

Ron is going to generate the game for us, this in addition to everyone’s password protected race files, makes me just a player also. My host role really was just organising everyone.

We have 5 players.

The Birdies Squeak
The Alcoholics Flamecowards
The Keldromas Brazouck

I’ll email again soon with starting instructions and starting date. You should also recieve an email at this address with your auto host passwords to upload and download your turns directly from autohost.
