Hi,

I'd like to know exactly how is AH doing its checks for corrupted files. Whip

We're having an x file flagged as corrupt in Open War X, but nobody so far has been able to ascertain why. It opens ok in the client, every fleet move and planetary queue show as they should, it's been opened-deleted-saved-reuploaded several times by different players to no avail, even discarding its h file in the process. Confused

We need to know how to fix it. Genning without that race is out of the question, as it's the mineral mover IT and specialist ship supplier for its whole team. Evil or Very Mad

When you say that it opens in the client, do you mean jRC4?

And it's really interesting what SAH treat as corruption in that case.

According to what m.a@stars wrote by mail, yes it's jrc4:

Yup.

Is there any command line option or something to perform a more strict check, or is AH using a completely different method? Sherlock

I'm using the standard command line -v option to check .x files before turn gen.

Then I have SAH parse the .chk file that the -v option creates looking for errors.

If it finds one, it emails the player and host and pauses the game.
