Minefields question

Hello.
I have a question about minefields. Minefield have a max safe speed (for example 4 warp). Minefield's center is over a planet. My ship fling on W4 to colonize this planet, but all my chips were destroyed. Why? Sad

Owner of the minefield is an SD and he has set it to detonate?
