I doubt it. I don't know alot about running regular windows apps on windows mobile, but i'm guessing you would need some sort of emulation.

Since that really creates a DOSBox environment, you should be able to run Stars via Win3.11 http://wiki.gible.net/index.php/Stars_vs_OS#DOSBox

Tho I can't say how playable it would be...it really needs at least 800x600.

Yeah I remember playing stars at 800x600 - maybe even 640x480 when it first came out. Really really tough to play. I was so excited when we got a new monitor that could go higher because otherwise you can't see all the information on ship designs - some stuff like extra scanner information, cloaking, etc, isn't displayed at lower resolutions!

i have a treo 700w by sprint. the screen is 2x2 inches i think. would be sweet to have a playable version to play by phone for emergencies.

what resolution does it run at?

i think that is going to be the kicker as to whether or not you can play it on your phone/pda.

I managed to play STARS! on my Acer One Notebook. The screen is however too small, and some dropbox to the left were either hidden or half hidden because of lack of room. The only way I could have them all to fit would have been to select the small box option, but that also mean that most of the info don't appear at all...

The view screen was also considerably shorter. It was not only annoying but also a problem when trying to plot long routes. A lot of scrolling had to take place and I hope I don't need to remind you that there is no scrolling shortcuts in STARS!

It is because of all those problems that I'd probably shoot myself in the head before I ever consider playing STARS! on something smaller than my Notebook screen...

It would be awesome if Stars! allowed waypoind selection via coordinate input.

If there was an update on game to make it work for my treo 700 that would be awesome playing AI on there at least lol.. would be cool to have a little box to tap with Sylas so you can switch back from map to commands/info on the fly.. would be the bomb dig if i could also push keys for short cuts ect.

Yes, for those Stars! emergencies when you absolutely, positively, have to change your year's orders. Smile

When I saw this thread's title, all I could think of was that it may be possible, but will it blend?
