VGA Planets 3.0

I still have a old school registered version of VGA Planets 3.0.
Does anyone still play this game and if so where? Rolling Eyes

This game is very similar to stars but old dos. It had BIG capital ships and carriers. Alot of the races were cheesy takeoffs but it was still awesome (The leader of the Federation was Will Riker aka No.2, Rebels leader was Luke Skywalker,etc.)
Most stars like games do not include carrier/fighter aspect which i think is a gamebreaker if used right.
Also the Cyborg Race could assimalate conquered planetary species...How cool is that! Cool

I think I saw some player Forums at the official VGAP site not so long ago. Googling also yields lots of hits. But perhaps your version is obsolete.

3.O probably hasn't been played since the time of the BBS. There is a new version out of planets.

I tried to play it but the learning curve was mega steep (i couldn't even move a ship!)

Just thought there might be a cult group that still played somewhere.
