I recently bought a copy of this game from biblio.com.I recieved 1 stars! multiplayer twinpack cd. It did not ask me for a serial # during the install. Do i need one to play games on this site? Also do i need to upgrade or patch the game to play here? The cd did not come with a serial. Any help would be Appreciated. Surprised

You bought Stars! from... an online second-hand bookshop. Does it work? Can you link us to more copies for sale? Rolling Eyes

To answer your questions, you'll need at least version JRC3 to play here (version details & download) which will certainly need a serial. You can also get the latest version here. You can read about getting a serial for a small cost here.

Basically your game cd is useless without a serial. Just download the updated version and get a serial off Ron. Take back the useless game and give them a friendly pimp slap.

I just played a quick test game to turn 50 and was able to get my tech lvl 10+. This should mean that the game is registered, but i did not put in a serial for the install Confused

umm ok...that's weird.

Download jrc4 and try that...look for messages(in the in-game messages box) saying you're an ursuper or similar.

Also...I hope it works coz you certainly paid enough for it. Those Amazon prices should be illegal.

Probably the thing has written a valid registered stars.ini in the correct folder so jrc4 doesn't complain. Sherlock

fyi to all I am in a duel and everything works fine with my stars multipack 2.70h cd after installing patches.

I guess a previous poster was right about the imbeded serial #.
