Würde mich gerne an dem nächstem Game beteiligen. Leider ist mein Englisch nicht besonders gut. Und deshalb habe ich nicht kapiert wie ich genau vorgehen muss, um an einem Spiel teilzunehmen.Auch weiß ich nicht, ob es überhaupt sinnvoll ist mit dürftigem Englisch mitzuspielen( Diplomatie? ). Wäre für Infos auf Deutsch dankbar.
PS: Ein bißchen Englisch kann ich aber schon.

Thank You. I will try that now. I'm playing stars since a longe time. But only against KI. So - lots of Questions in my mind.
And for this Questions i will create new topic now.
Again: Please excuse my bad englisch.
I could not find normal Games in New Game Announcements. Only Games with strange Rules

Ich würde Gastgeber, aber mit einem Spiel gehostet wird, spielen zwei, und mit einer Präsentation zu planen und schriftlich Projekte und Website-Verwaltung und eine Tonne andere Sachen zu tun, was gut, ich kann mich auch ein bisschen zu sehr damit beschäftigt, bereits.

A fairly good machine translation, though it is still word for word. I think a better translation of that "oh well" (my best guess at what the original text was) would be "verstandlich", but I am better at understanding German than I am at speaking or writing German.
I have been looking for a game without too many special rules myself, too, and I might start one fairly soon. There will be restrictions to prevent the most powerful monster races, of course.

Again: I would prefer medium universe, 8 Player, no public score.
Because i'm realy afraid about backstabbing i would like a rule: You have to declare war two years before you start.
And of course CA banned and JOAT not taking NAS.
Annother point: I'm absolut beginner. Is there any chance for me to survive long enough, that is possible for me to learn a llttle bit about stars? I don't wanna die in year 30.
In my annother Thread ( New Player needs help ) alex the great from sydney wrote that he will start a game too.

Medium uni 8 player is a long and slow game, well past 100 turns. People generally play 4-9 players in small, and less than that in tiny. 16 players in medium is long for some, short for others. 
Beginnerness might mean that you won't win, but early wars are dumb in Stars!, so you'll have at least 20 turns of peace. After that it depends on diplo a lot. Remember also that wars can take 20+ turns and it's quite possible that even if you lost, you'd survive as a "vassal state" simply because the guy that beat you doesn't want to waste resources, time, minerals, and pop exterminating you when he's suddenly fighting on 3 other fronts.
And the other people you'd be playing will probably be beginners too.

I agreed with AlexTheGreat that he should host the game, as he intended to be a non-playing host, and I want to play in such a game. A non-playing host is better than a playing host, as a non-playing host is (almost) certain to be impartial if the host has to rule on some disagreement, while a playing host might not be impartial, especially not if the playing host is one side in the disagreement.
If "All Quiet" is swamped with players so half of them cannot get in, then I will host a second game with the same parameters, as non-playing host. Even two games with the same parameters are different enough that it does not give any advantage to be non-playing host in a game with the same parameters at the same time as playing in another game - With one exception to that rule, though: If a person has played a special rules game, especially if that has been as non-playing host, then that player will know much more about what races and strategies are viable in such a special rules game.

There are more than a few German players around. CCmaster, Wizard, Alter Ego come to mind. There are even games with just German players being hosted on SAH. Sooner or later, one will come which you can join.
