Players: 6 + Neutral Host
Universe: Large/Dense (Remapped as below)
Start Positions: Described Below
Turns Generated every 48 hours (or as soon as all files are in)
Turn submission will be made to the host (via email) AND autohost (once setup).
Play will start ASAP
Winning:
- Last Player Standing OR
- 30% of Planets and 20 Tech in all six fields OR
- Majority vote of players and host.
Etc...
+All PRTs allowed, but HE will probably not be very successful
+Chaff and split fleet allowed. Everything else a no-no.
+Role-playing strongly encouraged
Remapping:
Universe will be remapped with six dense blobs of planets (empires) along an outer (not-so-dense) ring (~1500ly diameter). Each player homeworld will be within a unique empire. In the center will be a nucleus of planets packed less densely than the empires, but about twice as big. Host HW will be in the nucleus. In between the ring and empires and the Nucleus will be a buffer-zone of planets. Planets will not exist outside of the ring/empires. http://holidian.com/empires01.jpg
Role-Playing / Special Rules:
Politics/diplomacy will be very important to victory. All activities (colonizing, mining, space travel, etc...) within the nucleus will require the host's express permission. Additionally, the host will make up to 3 policies at a time. Policies will be in effect for five or ten years (at the hosts discretion). Examples of such policies are:
- No armed ships in the buffer zone.
- No colonization outside of home empire
- 50% resources must be used for research
The point of the policies is to add another element of strategy and assist in Role-Playing. The host will play and develop within the nucleus in order to enforce policy and add to role play. Host will set all players to "friend", and cannot win.
This is a new style of game for me, so other additions and changes may be made as the game progresses in order to keep things fun and interesting.

UPDATE:
As of right now we have five race files and we need one more. I've had a few nibbles, but nothing has resulted in a race file in my inbox.
Because someone requested them, I've uploaded a few pics of what the world might look like, and how big the "empires" are probably going to be:
