I am OK for now but will suggest 30 hours/turn later, may be at year 2045.

I suggest going for fixed-time 24h generations for now. The moving deadline gets more and more annoying, as you can't play your turn in 5 minutes anymore. If somebody isn't familiar with the concept of Autohost fixed-time (non-strict) generation, let me explain.
Let's say that the deadline would be at 09:00 (am) GMT, which I have personally found to be reasonably good generation time, depending a bit about where in the world all the players are from, though. Let's assume that the last player uploads his turn at 07:00 (am) GMT, 2 hours before the deadline that is. The next generation deadline would be at 09:00 (am), giving players 26h to prepare for the next upload. The benefit of fixed-time generations is that everybody knows all the time when the next deadline is, but with 26h generations the deadline changes all the time, causing very likely deadline missings, which can be quite crucial in the mid-late game.

I am OK for either a fixed turn schedule or fixed hrs per turn. However I prefer more time when we get to the mid game (say 2445). For a fixed schedule, it will be 48 hours per turn (say Mon 00:00am, then Wed 00:00am. However, the game may drag out for too long. If we go for 48 hours per turn but not a fixed schedule, no one should miss the game (except if one has to go on holiday) since he has two days to check and play the game. If everyone has submitted, there is no need to wait.

Now that I think of it, weren't we supposed to run this game 5 turns per week? I do understand that it may be a bit of a tight schedule to some, but afterall, the game was advertised as
Quote: | Turn generations:
In the beginning I'd suggest to generate a turn a day.
Probably someone will ask to keep the weekends free.
So it'll be Tuesday to Saturday at 00:00.

So I think that the 48h might be a bit too slow pace. After all, some of us choose the games they play in by the pace of the generations, and the current schedule, in the worst case, could be considerably slower than than 5 turns per week.
At least I find it very annoing that you have to wait for 48h for the next generation only to see that the last player(s) skipped their turns, and possibly skipped the next generation, and the next one too, and suddenly there have been only 3 generations in the past 6 days. It kinda kills all the excitement of the game, and is too slow.
