Have noticed that there is an ever so slight difference in the tapering ends for prop and temp.
If I set up a hab scheme with 1 in 3 hab with edged prop and then invert prop and temp (rad is unchanged) so that temp is edged I occassionally end up with 1 in 4 hab when it is edged temp.
I have no idea if that means prop tapers more or less than temp or even if it is enough data to be able to tell. Probably it is just a quirk in the maths that Stars! uses and the edges for temp and grav drop off at about the same rate.
Just an observation.

The hab that the race wizard reports and charges points for is not the same as what you find in the real game. There is some code that I think ConstB reverse engineered, and is in Freestars that shows how the hab is reported in the race wizard, and how it charges for it. There are some issues with the algorithm so it doesn't match reality. Also it gives more points for right shifting vs left shifting when there isn't any difference in odds of a world getting shifted high or low. I think they left it in because it tends to make more people pick right shifting, adding to the conflit they'll face, and giving an in game bonus to paying for left shifting.
