Profile still showing red confirmation warning

My Profile is still showing the red "If you do not confirm your user registration within 1 day, this account will be automatically deleted" message, although I did respond to the confirmation email soon after I signed up, quite a while ago. Is this normal?

I believe it send you an email and you have to click on a url in that email to confirm. Is that what you did?

and I clicked on the link and it took me to the forum. Everything works OK, so far as I can tell, except that the warning is still in my profile.
