Game for Busy Players

Universe small, normal, 6 players (distant): Lord of Chaos, Roman, Jan, Wizard, Gianluca and me.

I started in the upper right corner as a –f WM. I had no direct access to the centre or to the left side: much empty space there, no planets within 81 years.

So I expanded to the south and knew, that I will have an early war against the expected neighbor there. Unfortunately it was a WM as well, the most bad enemy for a –f WM, imo. But Gianluca played a +f WM, as I discovered after conquering the first of his planets. I made the big mistake to stop building frigate-hordes and not to continue conquering the homeworld of Gianluca instead of speeding up the research for con- and weap-tech Crying or Very Sad. Because of this, I had little possibilities for expansion only and I had too much to invest in terraforming. Even, as I was able to conquer the homeworld of Gianluca, I had a bad economy and a small fleet only.

Because of our war, and a war between Wizard and Jan (South-eastern corner and southern centre) nobody did disturb Roman (-f CA!), coming from the west, in conquering the centre. In the centre Gianluca couldn’t defend against Roman, because of my attack.

After the biggest battles in the wars between Wizard and Jan respectively Gianluca and me, it was not very difficult for Roman to clean up the mess Evil or Very Mad. I don’t know, what Lord of chaos (North eastern corner) did do. I hoped to get the time for conquering the last planets of Gianluca, hoped to get a better energy-tech soon and to meet a MT. But there didn’t come any MT in the game (until 2454) and because of a worm-whole-link between Romans empire and the centre of my empire I stoped the attack against Gianluca for some turns. Unfortunately Roman attacked my Ex-Gianluca-homeworld as I attacked the expected main planet of Gianluca with my small fleet. At least I haven’t got the needed time and economy for building up a fleet, what was able to defend against Romans Cruiser hordes. And Roman didn’t want to give me the needed time … Evil or Very Mad Rolling Eyes.

At least all factory-races had no chance against the –f races and I had no chance against Roman. In the end of the game Roman had nearly four times more resources than I had, better tech (weap16) and hundreds of weap14-cruisers Shocked (I had weap 13 only) .

Congratulations to Roman! Cool

btw., CA's are really very strong Rolling Eyes

I'll try to write my story tomorrow Smile

btw, don't forget that CA must left 200 points in the race wizard in this game, so it was not as strong as might be Wink
