Battle orders questioin

I have a question about battle orders.

If the target type is set to freighters, which ships are attacked ? Specificly, are colonizers and privateers attacked ?

What happens in that regard if cargo pods are added to a ship that did not have any cargo capacity to begin with, would that ship then be considere a freighter in terms of battle orders ?

My experience is that cargo capacity equals freighter for targetting purposes. For instance SS often uses "freighter chaff" scouts with a cargo pod to prevent freighter targetted missiles from killing their mineral raiding ships to allow the raiders to then pick up the planet's minerals and flee.

Anything with cargo capacity can be considered a freighter. Attack bombers and freighters first is a very useful battle order for missiles since very seldom will there be anything on the battle board that will distract the missiles - i.e. this will ignore the standard chaff and kill any bombers or invasion troops arriving with the fleet.
