Hi,
does anyone know why the early colonizer is called Mayflower for IT and Santa Maria for seven other races? I see no design difference between the two, so why did the programmers bother to assign a different name?

IT always starts with _at_least_ prop5, that comes with their *PRT*. So the IT colonizer has at least the DDL7 while other races start with any of the lower engines, with the exception of boosted prop by some *LRT*. IOW they can have more variations in their starting design (QJ5, FM, ...)
I guess therefor the Jeffs made that difference ... PRT/LRT but that's just my theory ...
